Small Town Hospitality at its Best
Named for an orchard of crab apple trees, Crab Orchard is quite a unique spot in Lincoln County. A popular resort in the nineteenth century (Crab Orchard Springs) was located here, hosting sometimes nearly four and five hundred guests each day. In later years after the resort’s popularity had faded, the hotel building was turned into a school. A high school exists today where Crab Orchard Springs once flourished. Though the resort is gone, the town itself shines as brightly as it always did, being the home of many caring residents and quaint businesses.
