A Lovely and Lively Northern Kentucky Town
Named for famed Kentucky statesman John J. Crittenden, this Grant County town is the peaceful home to many churches, parks, and recreation areas. Grant County itself was named for settler Samuel Grant, who was slain by Indians in the area. One of Grant County’s all-time most famous residents is none other than Grand Ole Opry star Skeeter Davis. Every July, the Grant County Fair is held in downtown Crittenden. The fair features many attractions and events including a horse show, truck tug-o-war, a dog show, arm wrestling, a horseshoe contest, and even live entertainment. Crittenden is an ideal town if you want to relax, have fun, or put in a good day’s work.
