A Quaint Eastern Kentucky Town
This peaceful small town was once the home of a successful branch of the Princess Elkhorn Coal Company. In its prime it was a fully equipped coal camp with a community pool, company store, and church. With the coal boom over, the town is now a thriving community which includes the following businesses: The David School, a private high school; David Appalachian Crafts, a craft shop with a unique Appalachian feel, and Saint Vincent’s Mission, an organization founded to help end poverty in rural Appalachian areas. With unique businesses and a caring atmosphere, David is a small town with a very big heart.
