A Touchstone of Tranquility
Located in the south-eastern corner of Washington County is the ever-growing town of Mackville, Kentucky. Originally established as Maxville in 1818, Mackville is often thought to have been named after Captain John M. McKittrick, who owned the land the town was founded on. In October, the Mackville Harvest Festival is held, allowing visitors the opportunity to experience the fun, festive, and cultured sides of the town. Today, Mackville remains a quaint and tranquil reminder of hospitality in the bluegrass.
